Connect Claude (web, Desktop and mobile)¶
What this is: add Bill & Ben as a custom connector in Claude. Who it is for: anyone with Claude on claude.ai, the Desktop app or the phone app.
Who can use it¶
Custom connectors are on Free (one connector only), Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.
- Free, Pro, Max: you add it yourself.
- Team and Enterprise: an Owner adds it once for the organisation. Then each member connects their own account. On Enterprise, a custom role with "Manage access to Libraries" can also manage them.
Claude calls our server from Anthropic's cloud, not from your computer. So Bill & Ben must be reachable from the public internet. This is a task for your admin, see below.
What an admin must do¶
- On Team or Enterprise, an owner adds the connector: Organization settings, then Connectors, then add a custom connector with the server address.
- Make sure your Bill & Ben permissions are set (
gateway.connect, see permissions). - If your network restricts access, allow Anthropic's outgoing addresses: 160.79.104.0/21 and 153.61.208.0/20.
Steps (Free, Pro, Max)¶
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Enter the name (Bill & Ben) and the address
https://ai.<brand>/mcp, then continue. - If asked how to sign in, choose Sign in now. For the OAuth client, choose Use Claude's published identity, or Register automatically. You cannot change this later without removing the connector.
- Bill & Ben's sign-in page opens. Sign in with your company account and choose Allow.
- In a chat, switch the connector on and ask: "What can you do with Bill & Ben?"
Steps (Team and Enterprise members)¶
- Wait until your owner has added the connector.
- Open Customize, then Connectors. Find Bill & Ben (marked "Custom") and choose Connect.
- Sign in and choose Allow.
What you can do¶
All the tools on the overview. Tools that only read run without a prompt. Tools that change or cancel work ask first. Claude cuts very long results, so open the Helmora link for the full answer.
If it goes wrong¶

| "your organisation has not given you gateway access" | Ask for gateway.connect. |

Disconnect¶
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Open Bill & Ben and choose the option to remove or disconnect it.
- Owners remove an organisation connector under Organization settings, then Connectors.
Anthropic does not say whether removing a connector ends the token on our side. To cut access at once, ask your admin to remove your gateway.connect permission.
